Under the heading of this Heart of America  main page,

you’ll find a photo stream of HoA tournaments and the

auxiliary events surrounding them both past and present.

The Heart of America is considered the “Granddaddy of Hickory Tournaments.” The single most continuously running hickory tournament in the world, the HoA was created in 1978 by former Golf Collectors Society President, Warren Olson. Today, HoA Tournament Director Bill Reed keeps this great tradition alive and thriving.

The Heart of America plays out on some of the greatest and most venerable courses of the Mid West; a mutual labor of love between the Golf Collectors Society, the Hickory Golfers Association and the Society of Hickory Golfers. Throughout the years, business supporters such as Classic Golf of Omaha and past sponsor Mountain Valley Spring Water have contributed greatly to this historic hickory event.
